By name, how many types of pitches are there in, not only baseball but any professional, minor or other country? I know theres a fast ball, curve, changeup, slider, knuckle, i hear theres also a gyroball… im curious in know theres others… anyone have any ideas

There are really only 2. Fastball and curve ball. Everything else is a deviation off of those 2. Slider, Change-up, Slurve,Knuckle balll, Knuckle Curve…all types of curves.
Fastball,split finger fastball, cutter…all fastballs.
There are others, and other names for the all of the ones that I mentioned, but you get the idea.

Lots of college sports websites have links to a recruiting form. Should an athlete only fill this out if the coach has already talked to them? Is it okay to fill out one of these online forms if an athlete has not been noticed yet but believes they are up to the athletic standard of the particular sport at the college? Thanks.

It’s okay to fill them out if you haven’t been contacted yet. In fact, if you want a coach from a college to take a look at you and you aren’t on their radar, contacting them is the best way to go. There’s no harm in doing it at all.

So many good players are coming from the state such as Adam Wainwright, Colby Rasmus, Jake Westbrook, Brian McCann, Tim Hudson, Russel Branyan, Johnathan Broxton, J.D. Drew, Buster Posey, Dexter Fowler and Jason Heyward was developed in Georgia. So is GA the state with the most prospects and players coming from it?

Good question, I believe Nomar Garciapara and Jason Tek also went there or maybe it was Georgia Tech.(sorry if I am wrong)
The reason is very simple, they have one of the best baseball programs in the country,which then of course attracts the top high school players.
They are so good, their program is considered by many as a low minor league team.
